Biophysics Core Facility
The Biophysics Core Facility (BCF) of the Scientific Instrument Center is located in Room 402 of the Institute of Biological Chemistry. In operation since 2008, this facility was previously known as the Molecular Characterization Core. The BCF hosts several state-of-art instruments, providing technical support for facility users in educational training, scheduling, workshops, user certification, troubleshooting, and instrument maintenance. Results collected with different instruments allow researchers to gain insights on the thermodynamics, kinetics and structural information of biological molecule interactions.
