Transgenic Plant Core Facility
The transgenic plant laboratory was established in July 1998, to support transgenic plant research at Academia Sinica. Since 2013, the transgenic plant laboratory has been available for use by research institutes outside AS on an application basis.

Availability: Services available to Academia Sinica faculty members and their associates, as well as research institutes outside AS.
Services: Agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation services for eight plant species, use of gene guns, provision of plant transformation related materials, and educational training courses on related technologies.

- Walk-in Growth Chamber
- Gene gun (3 sets): BIO-RAD PDS-1000 Particle Delivery System (2 sets) and 1 hand-held gene gun
- MicroPulser Electroporator (2 sets)
- 1 dissection microscope and 1 fluorescence microscope
- Vibration microtome; tissue culture equipment, including laminar flow, and autoclave
