Transgenic Core Facility
The Transgenic Core Facility (TCF) was founded in 1997 with support from Academia Sinica and the AS Institute of Molecular Biology. At the TCF, gene-modified (GM) mice are produced using highly advanced technology, including TALEN, CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing. Through accelerating GM mice production, TCF enhances research efficiency for researchers both in industry and academia, giving them a head start in publishing research results. Services are currently being expanded to research institutes outside AS, in order to support science research in Taiwan.
